What woulod you do?

What would you do when this happens? This happened to me during the DRMgolf Major tourney at panaga. I got a few options, hitting it towards the hole but i'm not a lefthanded golfer or hitting it backwards but there's more trees or playing it safe to the side but there's not much room for a back swing or should i take a penalty drop??? .... In the end i took my putter (not sure if thats the correct choice) and hit it to the side ... but... it rolled straight under another tree. Luckly enough it wasnt as close to the tree as before and i manage to punch out into the fairway. There goes my par .. ended up with a triple on a par 4 :(
